The History of Crysler Auto Parts

ABOUT US

In 1971, André and Thérèse St-Pierre started Crysler Automotive Centre, a garage and gas station located in the village of Crysler, Ontario.

In 1979, they joined the McKerlie-Millen group of companies, opening a much-needed parts store.

In 1981, the company expanded again, opening a general machine shop capable of providing agricultural machining services essential to farmers across an area stretching from Montreal to New York State.

In 1985, the family purchased a radiator and muffler shop.

In 1986, they purchased a school bus fleet operating under the name St-Pierre Bus Lines, further expanding the St-Pierre holdings.

In 1993, André and Thérèse’s son, Mario, graduated and took over management of the radiator shop. In 1994, the parts store reorganized, joining the CARQUEST Marketing Group, and in 1995, a new garage was built.

In 1999, the original storefront was torn down and a new parts department was built. The parts store, auto repair and service centre, radiator and muffler shop, and agricultural machine shop were consolidated under one roof. Their motto, “One stop for all your automotive needs,” became a reality.

In 2004–2005, André and Thérèse transferred ownership and management of the St-Pierre holdings to their son Mario. Mario opened Embrun Auto Service, expanding service to Embrun and Russell Township.

In 2014, the parts store division underwent another reorganization, this time teaming up with the VAST Marketing Group under the AUTO VALUE name.

In 2017, Mario St-Pierre, owner of Embrun Auto Service, partnered with Steven Morris, owner of Embrun Auto Tech, to build a brand-new facility at 140 Bay Street in Embrun, Ontario.

With great excitement, they opened another AUTO VALUE PARTS STORE alongside an AUTO VALUE CERTIFIED SERVICE CENTER, conveniently located under one roof.

In September 2017, Mario hired Martin Gauthier as store manager of Crysler Auto Value. Martin brought 17 years of experience at Benson Auto Parts in Rockland, where he had managed the store from 2004 to 2017.

In July 2019, Martin became a partner in Crysler Auto Value, acquiring a 25% ownership stake.

On July 15, 2023, Martin purchased Crysler Auto Value, becoming its sole owner and continuing the company’s long tradition of serving Crysler and the surrounding communities, while expanding its service territory to include Rockland, Alfred, Vankleek Hill, Cornwall, Winchester and the surrounding areas.

In January 2024, Vast-Auto Distribution was acquired by O’Reilly Auto Parts. In June 2024, Crysler Auto Value changed its name to Crysler Auto Parts (Parts City).

Helping customers since 1971
